Yummy salad from broccoli, bell pepper and apples

Hello, everyone!!!

Spring is a time of grilled meat and vegetables. Usually we eat same vegetables and can be bored of it. I like to eat different food, try new recipes or even develop my own recipes. As I have already told you in my previous blog posts, I do like healthy food and all the time I am looking for something new. This time, I will share with one of my latest inventions, which is this 3 ingredients warm salad. It will take just 15-20 minutes to make and you will be surprised with the result.

Ingredients:

  1. Broccoli – 1 pcs
  2. Bell pepper – 1 pcs
  3. Apple – 2 pcs
  4. White wine – 40 ml (optional)
  5. Sugar – 40 g (optional)
  6. Melted butter – 30 g (optional) 

 

Step 1. Cooking broccoli – 6 minutes

Take broccoli, wash it and cut the florets as it is shown on the picture. Boil the water in casserole, add 1 table spoon of salt and add broccoli in the boiling water. Let it boil for 6 minutes and then drain the water.

 

Step 2. Cutting bell pepper

Wash bell pepper and cut it into middle size squares (like on the picture). Add in the bowl where you will mix your salad. That’s all.

 

Step 3. Apples preparation

At this step, there is two ways of making salad. First method is to wash and cut apples as it is on the picture. Second method is a bit more complicated, but still easy and apples become sooo delicious that it is worth a try.

Take a frying pan, warm up melted butter and add sugar, mix it well and add apples that you have cut before. Stir them and cook for 3 minutes under middle heat. Then add the wine and stir the apples. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes.

 

Step 4. Bringing all ingredients together

While apples are frying, we can cut the broccoli florets. Cut them into small pieces like on the picture and add to the bell pepper. When apples are ready (illustrated on the picture), add them to the other ingredients in the bowl. Mix them, add salt, pepper and olive oil after your taste.

 

You can serve this salad as a main course, or together with grilled/baked/fried meat or fish. Easy and fast to make, very delicious and something new to surprise your family and friends.
